Week #3 team ratings and rankings are live! This past week, another 13,339 games were entered into MHR. A total of 8,218 teams have now reached the 5 game minimum and are being ranked, up 1,845 teams from last week. The database now contains 49,023 counting game scores. 

Another exciting week for our friends up in Ontario. More than twenty-five new Ontario boys and girls ranking categories went live this week. The first set of USA High School state rankings were also released. See the full list and links below:

• Bantam
• Midget Minor
• Midget Major
• High School 
• Girls

All of the brand new data will bring major changes to most ranking categories.  USA youth teams in major birth year “All” ranking categories are the most impacted by the new data. A vast majority of teams in the system, outside of a select few teams at the top, moved down ranking spots this week due to the sheer number of new teams that became eligible for the rankings.

We strongly encourage you to compare your team rating from week to week and compare your rating to others in your league. That will paint a much better picture of your team's performance than focusing on what is likely your team's downward movement in the rankings due to external factors.

Columbus Day weekend is right around the corner…meaning for all of us in the hockey world, is one of the busiest of the season for hockey players and families across North America.  Columbus Day weekend brings countless tournaments where teams are usually playing new, unfamiliar opponents. While this does great things to improve the overall accuracy of MYHockey when these games are entered correctly, it can lead to errors. We encourage everyone to be on the lookout for erroneous or incorrectly entered games over the next week. If you notice an error, please submit a game correction request by clicking on the red check mark in the "Fix" column located just to the right of all game scores. 

We also want to give a quick shout out to our 625+ division volunteers who are doing a great job helping us keep the data accurate and up to date. We greatly appreciate all your hard work! If your team's division does not have a volunteer, we could use your local expertise to help get your teams up to date in MYHockey.
