The third MYHockey Rankings Play of the Year Contest is here as players who have executed amazing plays that either were submitted or uncovered throughout the 2024-25 season compete to see which one comes out on top.
In celebration of all the great plays from the season that is behind us (and in full transparency, to help us all pass the time during the offseason), this year’s MHR Play of the Year first-round voting beganb Monday, June 16, and runs through July 10. The full contest tentatively is scheduled to conclude Aug. 12, a few days before MHR begins accepting scores for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
The contest features a 32-play bracket, with the voting for each new round always starting on a Monday or Tuesday. There will be no voting on Fridays or weekends.
The updated bracket can be viewed at the top of this article.
Each matchup is promoted via all MYHockey Rankings social media accounts, but actual voting ONLY will take place on the MHR Instagram Story. Once a matchup is posted on the MHR IG story, voting will be open for exactly 24 hours. Plays that get the most votes in that 24-hour period will advance to the next round.
