Off-Season Changes & Enhancements: Age Level Clarifiers
Welcome back! A new hockey season means another set of changes and enhancements are underway. You may have already noticed MYHockey Rankings has moved away from birth year clarifiers in boy’s team names. Starting with the 2024-25 season, MHR will use the new(ish) USA Hockey and Hockey Canada age level naming conventions in order to help standardize the team age levels across youth hockey.
Please note, USA Hockey and Hockey Canada use slightly different age level naming conventions. For example, a 12U team in the US is the same age as a U13 team in Canada. Please see the table below for clarification
USA Hockey = Age level & Under (9U, 10U, 11U, etc)
Hockey Canada - Under Age Level (U10, U11, U12, etc)
