Ontario 97 A Rankings Released
MYHockey is experimenting with Ontario "A" level rankings. Interest appears to be high enough to generate the rankings and keep them accurate without jeopardizing the accuracy of other rankings. The experiment is starting with the Ontario 97 A division. A link to these rankings can be found just below the link to the Ontario 97 AA rankings on the MYHockey Home Page.
Why the 97 A division? One volunteer agreed to identify the teams and leagues that play at the 97 A level. After these were put into the system, this volunteer agreed to start up the rankings by entering some game scores, but now it's time to see if they can sustain themselves. Volunteers are needed. If you are interested in entering and approving games scores for a 97 A division, please go out to the Report Scores page and register as a volunteer. The 97 A divisions include: GTHL East, GTHL West, MHL, Lakeshore, Tri-County & York Simcoe.
Another benefit of starting with the 97 A division is that it is a minor birth year which simply does not have as many teams as the major "A" level birth year division. If this experiment works out, MYHockey will look to add additional Ontario A level divisions in the future. It is up to you the fans...
