2009-10 Season Information Now Available

Today MYHockey releases 2009-10 season information. While some teams may still be in limbo, many do not tryout until after Labor Day weekend, we are taking an initial shot at the 2009-10 teams, leagues, divisions, etc. Many of you have already written in with website and coaching changes for the season and have received a "we don't release 2009-10 information until August 1st" message from MYHockey. Wait no longer!

There are two main activities the release of 2009-10 information enables. First, we can confirm which teams will be playing at the AAA or AA (Tier 2) competitive levels across North America. If you know that a team listed will not exist this season or a new one will be created, please send us an email. Also, if you see that the division information associated with the team is not accurate, let us know. As with every off-season, there have been a number of changes over the past few months and MYHockey hasn't included all of them into the system at this point in time. Your help is appreciated.

Secondly, you can request that team information be updated. You can add a team website, head coach or team manager. This year you can also add email addresses for the head coach and team manager into MYHockey. These are completely optional fields, but many of you have requested this feature. We also have incorporated an incredibly effective email address obfuscation technique so that spammers cannot obtain email addresses off MYHockey. We definitely do not want to contribute to spamming issues on the internet.

MYHockey considers the season start to be August 20th. While some Minnesota youth teams cannot play until November, many east coast pre-post teams begin their season's as early as August 20th and thus we are using that general date as the start of the season. Pre-season scrimmages are always an interesting topic and MYHockey will be posting more about these games as play starts.

For many of you, practices begin this week or in the coming weeks. It's starting to feel like hockey season. Sit back and enjoy!
