Ranking Updates
2016-17 Week #7 Rankings Released
MYHockey Week #7 Rankings are now out. For the most part we have recovered well from out half day outage last week and made real progress on getting teams updated. More than half of our 19.1k teams are now ranked.
Big tournament weekends are both great opportunities to improve the overall accuracy of the rankings and the single biggest threat to the accuracy of the rankings. They help accuracy because lots of teams from all over North America play one another and it really helps the system know how good teams are when compared head to head. It's a threat because often tournament scores are entered against incorrect opponents and when this happens it can definitely skew the rankings in an inaccurate way. We encourage everyone to review their team's list of game scores to make sure no phantom games have appeared. Please don't hesitate to submit requests to correct and/or remove erroneous games.
