2015-16 Week #7 Rankings Released

After a big weekend of tournaments, MYHockey added another 10k games to our database and we definitely saw some changes at the top of the rankings. We saw about a 50% increase in the number of erroneous scores added this past week, often with incorrect opponents identified or with tournament score posting issues. Let me touch on both briefly. It is critical that you spend some time positively identifying your opponent before posting scores to MYHockey. League opponents are usually pretty simple, but tournament foes can be much more difficult. Please help make sure we have the correct two teams when entering game scores. Many tournaments post scores with a maximum goal differential. A 12-0 game might be posted on a tournament website as 8-0, 6-0, or even 5-0. While we do not encourage running up game scores (primarily thru avoiding games where such a possibility exists), we also want the real scores posted for each game. What often happens is a volunteer enters the scores from a tournament website and then we simply ask that you request a game correction to fix any scores that are inaccurate due to this practice.
