2012-13 Week #18 Rankings Released
Congrats to all you tournament winners! The MLK weekend has come and gone and there was a tremendous number of tournament games entered from this past weekend. If your team played in a tournament this past weekend, I highly encourage you to validate your team scores and makes sure that MYHockey not only identifies the right club that your opponent hails from, but to also make sure that we have the proper team. Many clubs field 3 - 5 teams per age level, with some as high as 8 - 10. You cannot just guess what team was played, it often must be researched either during the game or after. MYHockey's league, division, and association information can really assist in tracking down the real identity of your opponents and you are encouraged to spend a few minutes doing this research. If you are a fan of youth hockey in North America, I can assure you that you will learn a few things that you did not previously know and will likely get a fair amount of enjoyment in tracking down these details.
The 2013 NHL season started this past Saturday. While I wanted not to care, I couldn't help myself. It looks like I was not alone as virtually all games were sell-outs. Even though I don't want to be interested and want to punish the league and the players for their greed, I have decided that it is OK to support them once again. That said, don't forget youth hockey. It's where it all starts and where tens of thousands of kids each year grow into adults with stronger bodies, better minds and more confidence.
