MHR Peak Performers for October 2024
We are proud to announce our MYHockeyRankings Peak Performers for the month of October, and for the first time ever we have two honorees.
Our first Peak Performer is goalie David Stefaniak of Vaughan Kings U14. During a one-month span, David compiled a record of 10-0-1 while posting a 1.16 goals-against average and helping his team capture a pair of tournament championships. His Vaughn Kings U14 team has posted a 20-2-1 record and is ranked first in Ontario, according to the Week 6 MHR Ontario Boys Rankings. David and his teammate Lorenzo Gandolfo have combined to record seven shutouts this season while allowing just 38 goals in 23 contests (1.65 goals per game).
Sharing October Peak Performer honors with David is Ava Thomas of Philadelphia Jr. Flyers 19U. A Boston College commit, Ava led the Premier Ice Prospects Happy Valley Showcase held at Penn State Oct. 11-13 in scoring with six goals and five assists in four games and followed that up by leading the Minnesota NIT in scoring the following weekend with seven goals and one helper in four contests.
Ava helped lead the United States to a gold medal at the International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 World Championship in Switzerland last January, recording three goals and six assists in six games. She finished her 2023-24 Jr. Flyers season with 53 goals and 26 assists in 55 contests. The Jr. Flyers are ranked 12th in the most recent MHR USA Girls 19 rankings.

Nominate Your Team’s Peak Performer
To have a player on your team considered to be a Peak Performer, please follow the guidelines outlined below when submitting candidates:
- Email the nomination to scott@myhockeyrankings.com
- Include the player’s name, the team’s name, the age group and any pertinent statistical or other information that would support the nomination.
- Attach 45-50 seconds of highlights from the player’s performance or performances. This can be several plays included on one attached video file or a few different plays on several different attached video files.
- Keeping the natural rink sound on the video is fine, but please DO NOT include music or other special effects such as slow motion, inserted graphics, logos, etc. If you are pulling the clip from a service such as LiveBarn and their logo is on the video somewhere, that is acceptable.
- Please DO NOT send a link to social media posts or other videos that are posted online unless the link is to an actual downloadable file.
- We would prefer to receive nominations from coaches or managers and not parents. If a parent submits a nominee, we may request to see a team statistics sheet, scoresheets or similar evidence to support and verify the nomination.
Please understand that because of the volume of emails we receive, it is not possible for us to reply to the submission emails. There also is no way that we can spend time searching for the information or video we have requested if it is not included in the email.
The only way to ensure consideration is to follow the procedure outlined above.
Also, there is no need to continue submitting nominations for the same player throughout the season once he or she is honored. A player will not be selected as a Peak Performer more than once.
We look forward to receiving your nominations and honoring more players than ever this season!
