2012-13 Week #5 Rankings Released
Week #5 has come and gone with another 7000+ game scores added to the database. Lots of action out there including the Warrior Tournament in Detroit. One small change has been made to the system for the Week #5 update and that's the primary subject of this weekly update.
After requesting feedback from a number of trusted MYHockey volunteers and advisers, MYHockey has decided to move the Ottawa District Atom Minor (03) A level teams to the Ontario AAA rankings. Why move "A" teams to the "AAA" rankings you ask? It's because "A" level hockey is the highest level of hockey available to Ottawa District atom minor players. Is it fair to rank teams containing the best atom minor players in the area against second picked teams from elsewhere in the Province? In the end, there is no right or wrong answer, only a decision. MYHockey has decided to rank the best atom minor teams in the Ottawa District with the best atom minor teams found elsewhere in Ontario. I'd like to publicly thank all those who provided feedback on the issue.
